Engineer Ibrahim Abu Thuraya, President of the International
Assembly of Palestinian Engineers: The need is urgent and necessary to seize
initiatives and project proposals and turn them into a tangible reality to
serve the Palestinian professional as quickly as possible to avoid the
repercussions of the Corona pandemic
This came at the conclusion of the international media symposium
held by the International Association of Palestinian Professional Institutions
and Associations entitled: Palestinian Professional Work between Coronavirus
and the Occupation (Challenges and Prospects)
Berlin, 13 June
Eng. Ibrahim Abu Thuraya, head of the International Association of
Palestinian Engineers, urged the participants in the international media
symposium held by the International Association of Palestinian Professional
Institutions and Associations to collect initiatives and implement the proposed
projects within the symposium.
Engineer Abu Thuraya added in his summary of the conclusion of the
symposium he moderated: We have a collective responsibility towards the
Palestinian professional in light of the Corona pandemic, and initiatives and
service projects have been launched, as well as many important recommendations
that touch the suffering of Palestinian professionals and trade unionists, and
that speed in implementing them will alleviate this suffering. Putting the
capabilities of the International Assembly of Palestinian Engineers in the
service of these initiatives, projects and recommendations, stressing the group’s
readiness for effective partnership and coordination with all local Arab and
international trade union frameworks.
The head of the International Association of Palestinian Engineers
also indicated that there is an intersection between some of these proposed
projects and the plans and programs that the International Assembly of
Palestinian Engineers is working on, which means that there is more possibility
for cooperation in implementation.
It is noteworthy that Eng. Ibrahim Abu Thuraya, President of the International
Assembly of Palestinian Engineers, had moderated the international media
symposium held by the International Association of Palestinian Professional
Institutions and Associations entitled: Palestinian professional work between
Corona and the occupation, challenges and prospects.
The opening speech of the President of the International
Association of Palestinian Professional Institutions and Associations Mr. Adel
Abdullah and the intervention of His Excellency the Tunisian Minister of
Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and the President of the
International Commission for the Defense of Palestinian Trade Union and
Professionals, Engineer Osama El-Khuraiji, included five working papers that
include a number of professional specialties and cover the Palestinian
geography in the Palestinian interior and the diaspora.
