The General
Assembly of the International Society of Palestinian Engineers meets in
Istanbul and discusses future projects and plans

The General
Assembly of the International Association of Palestinian Engineers held a
meeting today, Saturday 23-2-2019 in Istanbul, to discuss and approve the
administrative and financial report of the assembly and approve the
establishment of the International Technical Solutions To Globe company
launched by the International Association of Palestinian Engineers.
The meeting
began with reciting verses from the Holy Qur’an, then standing up and listening
to the Palestinian national anthem. The first words of which were by the head
of the Consultative Commission for the Congregation, Eng. Zuhair al-Tawil,
suggested at the outset to launch the slogan “The Gate of Mercy are our
prayers, not their prayers” for this meeting in appreciation of the Jerusalem
movement and the attendees approved it and then reviewed the agenda After
welcoming all attendees and guests.
In his speech,
the President of the International Association of Palestinian Professional
Institutions and Associations, Mr. Adel Abdullah, pointed out the indications
for the launch and establishment of the International Association of
Palestinian Professional Institutions and Associations, referring to the
launching of the International Association of Palestinian Engineers.
He also stopped
at a number of challenges facing Palestinian union action.
Abdullah
stressed to move forward despite all these challenges and difficulties,
pointing to the expansion and spread of work, both specialized and
geographically, pointing to the circumstances of the establishment of the
International Committee for the Defense of Trade Unionists and Palestinian
Professionals at the end of last April and indicating that it will be in a new
station next April, where new Arab federations and unions will join And
international.
For his part,
Eng. Ibrahim Abu Thuraya, President of the International Assembly of
Palestinian Engineers, presented many of the achievements and conditions for
their achievement, as well as some obstacles that prevented their
implementation, and reviewed a number of ideas and broad addresses for future
projects aimed at promoting the assembly and developing its work at all levels.
During the
meeting, future plans and a number of projects in support of the engineering
sectors in the occupied Palestinian interior and the Palestinian camps abroad
were discussed, with the aim of increasing the professionalism of these
sectors, improving the conditions of the Palestinian engineer and developing
his capabilities at home and in the diaspora.
The gathering
also implemented many operational projects for Palestinian engineers in
different countries.
During the
meeting, many proposed amendments to the assembly's statute were presented, and
some of them were approved, in a way that contributes to achieving the group's
goals.
It is
noteworthy that the gathering conducted many training courses for new
Palestinian graduates in various geographical areas, in Gaza, Jordan, Dubai,
Lebanon, Germany and other countries, in addition to intensive
"online" courses and projects for the transfer of engineering
expertise to inside Palestine.
It is
noteworthy that the International Assembly of Palestinian Engineers was
launched two years ago as part of a rally in Istanbul attended by more than 300
engineers from all over the world, and union guests from many Arab and
international federations and unions attended it.
