in Europe - Britain Branch, and under the supervision of the International
Assembly of Palestinian Engineers, the assembly announced the implementation of
the second phase of the project to operate the electricity generation system by
investing solar energy for the benefit of Al-Karamah Specialist Hospital in the
northern Gaza Strip, so that the system allows the generation of approximately
15 kilowatts / hour.
The ceremony was attended by the director of the Gaza office for
the gathering, Dr. Muhammad Abu Nada, the Acting Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Al-Karamah Hospital, Ahmed Labad, and its members Abu Hamza Abu
Salmiya, and the Administrative Director of Al-Karamah Hospital, Dr. Khaled
Khalil, and the representative of the International Assembly of Engineers,
Hamdi Al-Absi.
Dr. said. Muhammad Al-Hams, Vice President of the Palestinian
Doctors Association in Britain, stated that the project aims to find a radical
solution to the problem of frequent power cuts and contribute to meeting the
hospital's needs in order to continue to fulfill its mission and provide health
care more efficiently and effectively to citizens.
Al-Hams explained that the project is being implemented by the
International Association of Palestinian Engineers, as it is the second of its
kind after the group recently sponsored the establishment of a solar energy
station for the Kuwaiti Al-Rahma Hospital in the Gaza Strip.
In turn, Dr. Khaled Sheikh Khalil, Administrative Director of
Al-Karamah Hospital, said that the project contributes to saving approximately
$ 15,000 annually from the hospital's operating expenses, and then redirecting
them to the development needs and improving the quality of health services
provided to the citizen.
Sheikh Khalil sent a message of thanks to the Palestinian Doctors
Association in Europe for its generous efforts and great contributions in
supporting the health sector in Palestine, indicating that it was not the first
time that the association supported the hospital.
