The Palestinian Engineers Association in Sweden held their first
conference, last Saturday, in the city of Malmö, with 40 participants from all
Swedish cities attending.
The head of the assembly, Eng. Musa Al-Rifai, delivered the opening
speech on the various goals and activities of the gathering, expressing the
gathering's pleasure to meet all the invited lecturers.
In turn, Adel Abdullah, President of the International Assembly of
Palestinian Trade Unions and Associations, stressed the necessity of union
action to serve the Palestinians in Europe and within, indicating the
importance of activating and cooperating with unions of doctors, engineers and
teachers in all European countries.
The President of the Conference of Palestinians of Europe, Majed
Al-Zeer, reviewed the importance of elitist work for European Palestinians, the
need to take advantage of the capabilities available in Europe and the
strategic role of Palestinian engineers in restoring rights.

Ibrahim Abu Al-Thuraya, praised the assembly in Sweden, one of the building
blocks of the assembly in Europe, reviewing the process of the European Council
of Engineers and its most important achievements, stressing the importance of
networking relations between the assembly and European institutions.
The attendees interacted in a distinguished and rich workshop with
the latest science used in strategic planning, delivered by Dr. Abdul Hakim
Hammad from Ireland.

In conclusion, Eng. Muhammad Al-Kiswani spoke about the promising
Swedish job market and ways to engage in it, particularly for newcomers.
