Under the slogan Engineers in the Service of the Palestinian
Society, the founding conference of the International Assembly of Palestinian
Engineers will be held in Istanbul on November 5, with the participation of the
Turkish Prime Minister’s advisor, Dr. Omar Korkmaz, and Professor Ali Nayfeh,
the world's first mechanic man.
Eng. Ibrahim Abu Thuraya, head of the Palestinian Engineers
Association in Europe, indicated that the International Palestinian Engineers
Association is a Palestinian institution that coordinates between engineering
groups and institutions in the world.
He stressed that the aim is to support the Palestinian engineer
inside Palestine and the diaspora, to support the Palestinian people and
transfer engineering expertise to them, and to implement scientific projects
that serve the Palestinians.
The International Assembly also provides multiple services to the
Palestinian people, by coordinating between professional institutions, whether
they are engineering, social or financing projects.
The gathering also seeks to highlight the Palestinian engineering
competencies, their scientific expertise and their numerous inventions, and
market their projects in various parts of the world, which will benefit the
Palestinian engineer financially and scientifically.
The grouping works in agreement with companies, institutions and
development and financing bodies, with the aim of implementing practical
projects related to reconstruction, training and remote employment.
The conference includes a symposium on the professional suffering
of the Palestinian people at home and in the diaspora, success stories, means
of overcoming difficulties, networking and employment. The second symposium
will be about the impact of engineering work on the development of peoples and
civilizations, and at the end of the conference, the establishment of the
International Society of Palestinian Engineers will be announced.
It is noteworthy that the International Assembly of Palestinian
Engineers includes groupings, associations and federations from all countries
of the world, and the number of affiliated engineers is estimated to be (1500)
engineers, and the association also works through its branches spread in many
countries in Europe, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and
Saudi Arabia Sudan, Malaysia, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. The consortium
seeks to establish offices in the Americas, Canada, and Southeast Asia.
