For the first time in the Gaza Strip, the International Society of
Palestinian Engineers concludes a qualitative training in "knowledge
management"
The International Assembly of Palestinian Engineers, in partnership
with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, has completed
specific training in the field of "knowledge management" in
coordination with the Engineers Syndicate - Gaza Strip governorates, and with
generous support from the Jordanian Engineers Association.
The course was presented by Dr. Munib Shadid (a consultant certified
by the Arab Trainers Union) to a group of managers and decision-makers in the
governmental, private and private sectors, with the aim of developing the
capabilities of the various departments in the institutional hierarchy. The
course dealt with several axes related to knowledge, the limits of knowledge,
and how to implement knowledge management in organizations, in addition to
performance evaluation, the competency management system, incentives, and
competency building, and the identification of learning evaluation through the
Kirkpatrick model, among other skills.
Eng. Islam Al-Habeel, Director of Projects of the International
Society of Palestinian Engineers - Gaza Office, praised the efforts of the
partners in making this course a success, which comes within the project of
"training 200 engineers in the Gaza Strip", stressing that this
training is a reflection of joint cooperation with the Jordanian Engineers
Association, within an integrated series of Qualitative training and competent
Jordanian trainers.
The conclusion included a speech by Engineer Munir Al-Sabbagh,
Director of the Training Center at the Jordanian Engineers Association, in
which he emphasized their interest in providing specific training to support
the Palestinian engineer in the labor market, and to refine Palestinian
capabilities and capabilities to make them eligible to compete in various
administrative and professional positions.
In the same context, Engineer Suhail Mudoukh, Undersecretary of the
Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, explained that this
course is a qualitative leap in institutional administrative work, and he
called for the continuation of these specialized courses and that this training
be the first developmental training program in this context.
It is noteworthy that the International Society of Palestinian
Engineers seeks to develop Palestinian cadres in various professional and
administrative fields within a variety of programs, including training with a
group of international training centers and institutions.
